A championship match was on the cards as Kelani Jordan defended the NXT Women’s North American Championship, while the main event saw Ethan Page square off against Je’Von Evans with Williams at ringside.
WWE NXT action made a waltzing return yesterday, June 18. The company’s Performance Centre in Florida was the official venue for the weekly live event. The latest NXT episode was jam-packed with some entertaining wrestling action.
The show began with a 25-man over-the-top-rope battle royal to decide the number one contender for Trick Williams’ NXT Men’s title. A championship match was also on the cards as Kelani Jordan defended the NXT Women’s North American Championship. The main event saw Ethan Page square off against Je’Von Evans with Williams at ringside.
Fans hear from Oba Femi
Oba Femi addressed the WWE Universe saying it was quite familiar for him to stand in the ring having retained his North American Championship again. He then added nobody could take away the title from him since he already defeated the best superstars NXT had to offer. This led to West Lee making his way down the ramp and reminding Femi that he was never pinned at Battleground. Irritated by Lee’s claims, Femi gave the challenger another title shot but with a stipulation. Femi said that after this championship match, Lee would no longer be able to challenge for the title.
Kelani Jordan retains the NXT Women’s North American Championship
The match began with some side headlocks and shoulder blocks. After some high-octane action, Michin tried to lock in the Electric Chair on Jordan. However, the champion countered the move into a reverse Hurricanrana. She then looked for a split-legged moonsault but Michin moved out of the way. As the challenger climbed up to the top rope Jaida Parker appeared out of nowhere to push Michin off the rope, allowing Jordan to land a split-legged moonsault for a victory.
Ethan Page and Trick Williams in a staredown as NXT ends in chaos
Having defeated Je’Von Evan on the show’s main event, Ethan Page got involved in an intense staredown with Trick Williams who was seated at the announcers’ table. The two got in each other’s faces before Shawn Spears entered the ring to fire off right hands on Evans. Williams responded by firing hands of his own at Spears but Page intervened. Soon, Evans went flying off the top rope to level Page and Spears with a double cutter. The four main remain laid out in the ring as the show went off air.

Jacy Jayne and Jazmyn Nyx vs Lola Vice and Roxanne Perez vs Meta Four – Vice and Perez seal a pinfall win thanks to a Pox Rox on to Jakara Jackson.
Kelani Jordan vs Mia ‘Michin’ Yam for the NXT North American Championship – Jordan retained her title by pinfall using the Split-Legged Moonsault.
Carlee Bright vs Fallon Henley – Henley won the match by pinfall with a Shining Wizard.
Chase U vs Good Brothers – Hudson landed a Folding Press on Karl Anderson to seal a pinfall victory for Chase U.
Ethan Page vs Je’Von Evans – Page used the Ego’s Edge on Evans to secure a pinfall win.
