As per reports, she became the Additional Chief Executive Officer (ACEO) of YEIDA after Dr Arunvir Singh extended his leave for personal reasons.
After successfully cracking the UPSC Civil Services Examination with a good rank, candidates are appointed as IAS officers. Over time, they receive promotions and are transferred to various departments based on their work experience. In a recent development, IAS officer Shruti from the 2011 Uttar Pradesh cadre was appointed in a prominent role at the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA). She got the responsibility of Additional Chief Executive Officer (ACEO) of YEIDA after Dr Arunvir Singh extended his leave for personal reasons.
As the additional CEO, Shruti will oversee all administrative and development activities of the authority. This move by the higher authority was made to ensure that the operations remained uninterrupted during Dr Singh’s absence. She has to closely monitor important projects like the International Airport and Film City projects.
Talking about her early life, Shruti completed her B.Tech degree in Computer Science Engineering before starting her preparations. After completing her engineering, she cleared the UPSC Civil Services Examination in the year 2011. In 2017, she was appointed as the Additional Mission Director of the National Health Mission (NHM). Following this, she served as the Additional Chief Executive Officer of Noida. She later served as the District Magistrate and Collector of Balrampur and Fatehpur. Most recently, she was appointed the Additional Chief Executive Officer of the Yamuna Authority.
IAS Shruti is known for her administrative expertise and efficient work style. Considering her widespread experience, she has been entrusted with this important role. The higher officials mentioned they are sure she will do justice to the position. It was reported, that upon assuming her new responsibilities she has outlined plans to regularly monitor all the development projects and examine their progress. Until Dr. Arunvir Singh returns, Shruti will oversee all the works of the authority. Steps have already been taken to ensure continuity in both administrative and developmental work under her leadership.
