The highly anticipated Wellness Festival Singapore (WFS) 2023 is set to make a grand return. Organised by Singapore Tourism Board, the second edition of Wellness Festival Singapore (WFS) aims at giving the locals and visitors a unique and interesting way to prioritise wellness and health while they plan their travel.
Following the success of its inaugural edition in 2022, WFS has raised the bar even higher this year, offering over 180 programmes that span mental, emotional, physical, and lifestyle wellness. From now until July 9, 2023, attendees will have the opportunity to explore a wide range of activities set against Singapore’s cityscape.
“The Wellness Festival Singapore plays an important role in presenting Singapore as a premier Urban Wellness destination that offers holistic well-being experiences. Building upon last year’s success, the expanded programs this year serve up a diverse, enriching range of wellness offerings set in scenic locations across the city,” said GB Srithar, Regional Director – India, Middle East, South Asia & Africa at the Singapore Tourism Board (STB).
“Travellers from India could take time out to join the local participants to enjoy and celebrate holistic wellbeing while on holiday or a business trip,” he asserted.
With its inclusive approach, the festival aims to cater to different passion points, preferences, age groups, and abilities. Participants will have the chance to immerse themselves in a multitude of wellness experiences located across various popular tourist hotspots. From the Marina Bay Sands to the sun-soaked beaches of Sentosa Island, and the Changi Airport, the festival promises to be an unforgettable journey, according to the tourism board.
One of the festival’s highlights is its comprehensive fitness program curated in partnership with the Health Promotion Board. Offering close to 40 activities, participants can engage in everything from high-intensity workouts and kickboxing to yoga and meditation. These physical fitness sessions aim to promote an active lifestyle and provide tailored options to suit individual fitness levels and preferences.
Beyond physical activities, the festival also caters to nature enthusiasts, art lovers, and those seeking mindfulness and creative expression. Attendees can explore the island’s lush greenery through hiking and biking along the popular Coast-to-Coast Trail, indulge in art exhibitions and therapy classes at renowned institutions like the ArtScience Museum and Art For Good, or immerse themselves in the tranquility of shirin-roku ‘forest bathing.’In addition to the wellness programs, the festival offers an unparalleled opportunity to experience Singapore’s local culture and culinary delights. Market-to-table culinary experiences and horticulture cooking workshops allow participants to savor the flavours of Singapore while deepening their understanding of the local traditions.
Moreover, workshops focused on improving the mind-body connection and fostering mindfulness provide a transformative experience for festival-goers.
The festival attendees can also partake in the Zentosa LiveWELL Festival at Sentosa, where over 250 activities spanning five holistic pillars of wellness await. From physical wellness and mindful resting to relationship building and healthy eating, participants can engage in a comprehensive range of experiences to nurture their overall wellbeing.
Festival-goers can indulge in Beats Performance Therapy, a fusion of fitness and music, or find inner harmony through Animal Yoga at the River Wonders, embodying the physical and spiritual qualities associated with different creatures.
Another unique experience, the ‘Cacao Ceremony + Sound Journey,’ combines ancient healing practices with a soothing sound journey to promote relaxation and uplift mood.
