The West Bengal Madhyamik 2025 exams are set to begin tomorrow, February 10, 2025. They will continue till February 22. According to the Board of Secondary Education, candidates will be able to enter the exam centres from 9:30 am on the first day. It will be conducted from 10:45 am to 2 pm at 2,683 exam centers this year.
According to the board, 984,753 students have applied for the secondary examination. Out of these, 428,803 are male students and 555,950 are female students. It is estimated that 62,000 more candidates have applied compared to last year.
Some schools have not received the admit cards. 136 schools have not processed the admit cards properly as per the rules. After the court’s order, 181 students who applied for the exam did not receive the admit cards due to the school’s mistake.
As per the court order, students will get admit cards before the secondary exams by paying a fine. All the students who did not get the admit cards will get the opportunity to enroll again. For this, the school will have to pay a fine of 10,000 rupees. An additional fine of 5000 will have to be paid for each student. The money has to be paid at the time of getting the admit card. Cash or EPI can be used in this case.
It can collected from Nivedita Bhavan by today, February 9. However, there are some more conditions for students to fill up the form. They must have to have 75 per cent attendance. They will also have to pass the test exam. For details, the headmaster of the concerned school will have to be contacted. Students will also get the notice on the website of the Secondary Education Council. It remains to be seen how much work is done after this new instruction.
Usually, the math test is held at the end of secondary school exam. This time, students will have to take the math test after the first language and second language tests. However, there are four days off before the math test. Moreover, students will get one day off before history as well. There is no leave before any other test. The board has informed that the Madhyamik examination will start at 10:45 am. It will continue till 2 pm. However, writing will not be allowed in the first 15 minutes. Those 15 minutes have been allotted for reading the question paper. Students will be able to start writing from 11 am.
