The IIM offers 300 seats for its prestigious MBA course. The admission process of IIM Bodh Gaya consists of CAT examination score, and Personal Interview (PI) process.
The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bodh Gaya has announced the admissions policy for its Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme for the academic year 2025-27. As per the official notice, unreserved category candidates must have scored 50% marks in UG, and SC, ST, and PwD category candidates must have secured 45%.
The IIM offers 300 seats for its prestigious MBA course. The admission process of IIM Bodh Gaya consists of the CAT examination score and a Personal Interview (PI) process. The final merit list will, however, be based on performance in CAT 2024, PI score, and Profile score. The criteria for preparing the final merit list will be as follows:
— CAT Score: 45%
— Personal Appearance: 25%
— Profile: 30%
Furthermore, IIM Bodh Gaya will consider 20% weightage for PI and 5% weightage for WAT. It will also consider 14% weightage for academic profile and 16% for work experience.
How Will Candidates Be Shortlisted For PI?
There will be a cut-off percentile, in the three sections, and the total CAT percentile, for shortlisting to PI process across different categories of students.

“The 8 IIMs (IIM Bodhgaya, IIM Jammu, IIM Kashipur, IIM Nagpur, IIM Ranchi, IIM Sirmaur, IIM Trichy and IIM Udaipur) have decided to adopt a common admission process (CAP 2025 process) of PI through Offline Mode and to be coordinated this year by IIM Bodh Gaya. In addition to the common process as mentioned, IIM Bodh Gaya may conduct a supplementary admission process (SAP 2025). The performance of the candidate in PI of CAP 2025 and SAP 2025 would be considered for preparing the merit list,” states the official notice.
What After Merit List?
After the declaration of the merit list, candidates will be asked to deposit Rs 20,000 admission fees. The candidates who successfully complete the payment will receive the admission offer as per the vacant seat and his/her order in the merit list. A candidate receiving an admission offer from IIM Bodh Gaya can accept the offer within the stipulated date by paying an Offer Acceptance Amount of Rs 80,000. This amount will be adjusted against the Term I fee, reads the official notice.
Talking about placements, IIM Bodh Gaya recruited all its students from the MBA batch of 2024. All 266 students were placed. More than 120 companies took part in the placement process. The pay last year was slightly lower, about 7% less in comparison to 2023. The top 25%, 50%, and 75% of the class got average salaries of 18.2 LPA, 16.6 LPA, and 15.2 LPA respectively.
