Full-service carrier Vistara, a joint venture of Tata Group and Singapore Airlines, has announced the addition of a new destination to its international network. Starting from October 1, 2023, the airline will operate daily, direct flights between Delhi and Malé, expanding its presence in the region.
The flights will be operated on the Airbus A320neo aircraft with a three-class configuration, aiming to improve connectivity between India and the Republic of Maldives. Travellers can book their flights through Vistara’s website, mobile app, or through travel agents.
Vinod Kannan, CEO of Vistara, expressed his excitement about the new route, stating that it will provide customers with more access to one of the world’s most popular holiday destinations.
“We are thrilled to introduce direct connectivity between Delhi and Malé – our second route to the exquisite beach destination, in addition to Mumbai-Malé. This new route will enable us to provide our customers with enhanced access to one of the world’s most popular holiday destinations while also imparting further momentum to the existing bilateral cooperation between India and the Republic of Maldives,” he said.
Vistara has also released introductory all-inclusive, round-trip fares between Delhi and Maldives. The fares start from INR 26,999 for economy class, INR 34,999 for premium economy, and INR 82,999 for business class. For the Maldives to Delhi round-trip fares, the prices start from MVR 5,099 for economy class, MVR 6,599 for premium economy, and MVR 14,799 for business class. From October 1, flight number UK 0273 will depart from Delhi to Maldives daily at 1045 hrs and arrive in Maldives at 1420 hrs. On the same day, flight number UK 0274 will depart from Maldives to Delhi at 1520 hrs and arrive in Delhi at 1955 hrs. All timings are in local time zones, and exact timings may differ slightly for different days of operation. The flights are subject to regulatory approvals.
