V- Mart Retail Ltd reported a 16 percent increase in revenue to Rs 1,027 crore ($119.8 million) for the third quarter ended December 31, as against Rs 872 crore in the year-ago quarter.
Limeroad digital marketplace, the online arm of the company reported a revenue of Rs 11 crore, as against Rs 17 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year.
“The same store sales growth stood at 10 percent for the quarter. Due to the shift in the Hindu calendar the Durga Pujo sales period moved from Q3 to Q2 in the current year,” V-Mart said in its business update.
“Income from Limeroad digital marketplace of Rs 11 crore represents the commission income charged from sellers on the net merchandising value (NMV) of Rs 29 crore,” it added.
During the quarter, the company opened 21 new stores to take its count to 488 as on December 31, 2024.
