The Examination Regulatory Authority, Uttar Pradesh has released the UP Diploma in Elementary Education (DElEd) state merit rank 2024 today, December 26, 2024. Candidates who took the exam can check their merit list on the official website at updeled.gov.in. A total of 3,25,769 candidates took the exam this year.
As per the application form, the merit list is created after taking into account the percentage of candidates in high school, intermediate, and graduation exams. Candidates are required to pay Rs 5,000 as an application fee between December 26 to January 12 to participate in the institute selection process. The option-filling window for training institutes will begin on December 30.
The UP DElEd seat allotment process has been divided into three phases as per the ranks of the candidates:
— For ranks 1 to 20000, the application process will take place from December 30 to January 2. The seat allotment results will be announced on January 3.
— Candidates who have secured between ranks 20,001 to 1,00,000 will have to apply for the institution allotment process between January 3 to January 8. The merit list will be declared on January 9.
— Candidates who ranked between 1,00,001 and 2,40,000 may apply between January 9 to January 14. The seat allotment results were announced on January 15.
Candidates must note that if they are not to complete the option filling process, their admission process will stand cancelled. The Rs 5,000 allotment fee will not be refunded. Meanwhile, candidates who have not been able to secure a seat in the first round can participate in subsequent counselling rounds, however, they will have to select the institution options once again and will be required to pay the Rs 5,000 fee again.
The admission exam, which assesses candidates on topics including general knowledge, teaching aptitude, and reasoning skills, is the first stage in the selection process. This test measures the candidate’s potential as a teacher as well as their subject knowledge to determine whether or not they are a good fit for the D.El.Ed. programme.
