At the event, senior members of the education department including Shri Vineet Nayar, founder and chairman of the SAMPARK Foundation, Shri Deepak Kumar, ACSEducation UP Govt, Shri Krishna Karunesh, CDO, and Shri Sanjay Meena were present.
On this occasion, the audience heard remarks from the Honourable Chief Minister Shri Yogi Adityanath. “I am very pleased to have such a big-scale innovative programme in our State,” he remarked, endorsing the “Sampark Smart Shala Smart Blocks” concept. Given their experience and commitment, I have no doubt that SAMPARK Foundation will make it a success, and the children of Uttar Pradesh will gain a lot from it.
What is ‘Sampark Smart Shala Smart Block’?
The ‘Sampark Smart Shala Smart Block’ Programme is an initiative to transform all government primary schools into smart schools one block at a time. Sampark Foundation will finance this project by
1) Setting up Sampark TVs with lesson plans, lesson videos, workbooks, gamified tests, songs, and stories aligned with SCERT texts for grades KG to 5. There is no requirement for the Internet for this to function.
2) Effective language and maths TLMs that simplify teaching and learning
3) All teachers should receive training in the “Sahi Kram Sahi Dhang” smart pedagogy so that they can use Sampark TV to enhance student learning.
What is Sampark Smartshala doing?
In partnership with the UP Govt., Sampark Smartshala is already active in 18000 schools in the state of Uttar Pradesh. Shri Vineet Nayar, the founder and chairman of SAMPARK Foundation, discussed the programme and said, “We hope to convert these 18000 govt schools into smart schools, one smart block at a time. We have committed an investment of 40 Crores for this initiative with a hope of touching the lives of 28 lakh children.”
The pilot programme was successfully implemented for 100 days in Nagar Kshetra before being expanded to the Chargawan Block. The Nagar Kshetra Block, which was finished in April/May 2023, is where the programme has made great progress.
The programme offers a vast array of materials created to facilitate classroom transformation. These resources are arranged according to subjects and grade levels and have been carefully chosen to correspond with the state curriculum and SCERT. To ensure the program’s successful implementation, state government education officers will assist the activities and actively monitor them.
Each school receives a TV set, a Sampark TV device, a maths and English kit with an audio box, the Sampark Smart Shala application, 500 lesson plans, 1,100 lesson videos, 450 activities that make use of teaching-learning materials (TLMs), 2,000 subject- and class-specific worksheets, 3,000 assessment questions in the form of “Sampark Didi Ke Sawal,” inspired by the well-known TV show “Kaun Banega Crorepati,” (KBC), songs,
These materials were created to improve classroom learning and offer invaluable assistance to teachers in their instructional strategies. These tools aid educators in providing instruction with the proper framework and methodology.
