As Ugly marks its 10th anniversary, actor Vineet Kumar Singh looks back on one of the most significant roles of his career. Speaking about the milestone, Vineet shared, “It’s a film that will always stay close to my heart. Ugly gave me the chance to be part of Anurag sir’s brilliant vision and explore a character that was so layered and intriguing. It not only challenged me as an actor but also taught me so much about storytelling.”
Ugly premiered in the Directors’ Fortnight section of the 2013 Cannes Film Festival, where it received a standing ovation and went on to earn acclaim at various international festivals. Vineet’s portrayal earned him several nominations for Best Supporting Actor and solidified his reputation as a talented and versatile actor.
Looking ahead, Vineet has an exciting lineup of projects, including Match Fixing, Superboys of Malegaon, and the pan-India film Jaat alongside Sunny Deol. With his commitment to exploring diverse roles, Vineet Kumar Singh continues to leave a mark on Indian cinema.
