Nagpur: Two truckers, Mahendra Misar and Prashant Naktode, of a logistics park in Mouda were arrested by the Nagpur rural police for their alleged role behind murdering a 33-year-old mentally ill woman in the early hours of Saturday. The woman was missing since Friday.
The woman, who had injuries on her head and back, was also feared to be sexually assaulted. Police said they have registered only murder case but the motive of the crime is still not clear. Misar and Naktode are learnt to have physically assaulted the woman and pushed her on the ground as she was disturbing them at the logistics park, said police.
After leaving her house post dinner in Yashodhara Nagar on Friday, the woman travelled 16km to reach the logistics firm at Mouda’s Mahalgaon beed. Cops are not sure how the woman travelled to Mahalgaon. In the CCTV footages, she was found walking till the HB town. The victim was admitted at Mayo hospital on Saturday and she was declared dead on Sunday.
