Following the announcement of increased vacancies, more students have a chance of clearing the Prelim exam with the cut-off marks expected to lower. This would provide a significant opportunity for candidates who were close to the earlier projected cut-off.

The TNPSC Group 4 preliminary examination for these positions was held on June 9 in a single session from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. The paper was structured into two sections. Part A: the Tamil Eligibility-cum-Scoring Test, consisted of 100 questions carrying a total of 150 marks. Part B was divided into two segments: General Studies, which had 75 questions, and the Aptitude and Mental Ability Test, comprising 25 questions, together accounting for 150 marks. The provisional answer key was made available on the commission’s website on June 18. The results of the written examination are expected to be released soon. Candidates who successfully clear the prelims will be invited to appear for the main examination. The date for the main exam will be announced once the Prelim results are officially released. Candidates are requested to check the official website regularly for updates.
