The Design Village and the Royal College of Art London hosted a workshop on interdisciplinary design methods
The Design Village (TDV) collaborated with the Royal College of Art London to host a workshop on Design Methods in Cross-Disciplinary Research. A broad group of professionals, researchers and students interested in examining the connections between design and multidisciplinary research came together for the workshop, directed by Dr Melanie Flory, Associate Director of Research at The Helen Hamlyn Centre for Design.
The workshop aimed to draw attention to the creative strategies and techniques that bridge several sectors, highlighting the importance of design in encouraging cooperation and creativity throughout disciplines. Dr Melanie Flory visited the TDV campus to improve the parties’ cross-cultural connection.
During their dissertation, TDV final-year students had the chance to interact with Dr Melanie and benefit from her knowledge.
