Tata Motors has discontinued the entry-level Tiago NRG XT variant, which was only available in petrol-manual form. Now, the Tiago NRG is only available in the top-spec XZ trim, though with all four engine and gearbox combinations – 86hp petrol-manual, 86hp petrol-AMT, 73hp CNG-manual, and 73hp CNG-AMT. Across the board, NRG prices are about Rs 30,000 higher than the equivalent Tiago variant.
While the Tiago NRG has no direct rivals, being the only cross-hatch available in this segment, its price point puts it in contention with higher variants of the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios (Rs 5.98 lakh-8.62 lakh) and Maruti Wagon R (Rs 5.65 lakh-7.48 lakh).
2025 Tata Tiago NRG exterior changes
Minor design changes seen
For 2025, exterior updates to the Tiago NRG include new silver front and rear skid plates on the tweaked bumpers and slightly different 15-inch wheel covers for the steel wheels. Other highlights of the NRG over the standard Tiago include the black plastic body cladding that runs along the side, thick black roof rails, and an NRG badge on the tailgate.
2025 Tata Tiago NRG interior and features
Gets same feature update as the Tiago hatchback

For the most part, the Tiago NRG shares its features list with the Tiago XZ trim, and highlights include the 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a rear camera, auto headlights and wipers, and the digital instrument cluster. These features were recently added to the Tiago line-up. As before, the NRG sports an all-black interior compared to the standard hatchback’s dual-tone beige and grey finish.
However, compared to the Tiago XZ, the NRG misses out on LED DRLs, fog lamps, and the auto climate control system. It should be noted that the standard Tiago hatchback is available in an even higher XZ+ trim, which comes with features such as cruise control, a tyre pressure monitor, and a rear wiper.
