Tata Harrier EV interior and features, range and battery, launch details, expected price

The exterior design of the Tata Harrier EV has already been seen in production-spec, but the latest teaser from Tata Motors now gives us a glimpse of the interior of the upcoming SUV. Unsurprisingly, a lot of the interior is shared with the diesel-powered Harrier. The Tata Harrier EV is expected to go on sale by mid-2025.

  1. Harrier EV has the same dashboard design as the diesel-powered Harrier
  2. Features include panoramic sunroof, digital instrument cluster, 12.3-inch touchscreen
  3. Full technical specifications are yet to be announced

Tata Harrier EV interior and features

Dashboard is similar to the regular Harrier

The teaser reveals that the Harrier EV will carry over the same floating touchscreen unit, four-spoke steering wheel and digital instrument cluster from the regular Harrier. The centre console also remains largely unchanged, housing a rotary dial and a stubby drive selector. The infotainment and instrument cluster, however, can be expected with more EV-specific graphics.

Like the regular Harrier, the dashboard gets a two-tone colour scheme, and the touch-based HVAC panel has also been retained. In terms of features, we could also spot a panoramic sunroof and an electronic parking brake. The Harrier EV will also come equipped with vehicle-to-load (V2L) and vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) charging capabilities, new terrain modes, connected car tech, over-the-air updates and cloud-connected telematics.

Like the interior, the exterior of the Harrier EV is very similar to that of the diesel Harrier.

Tata Harrier EV range, battery and specs

Harrier EV will have 500Nm of peak torque

The Harrier EV is based on Tata’s Gen 2 acti.ev architecture – the Land Rover-derived Omega platform has been heavily modified for electrification. Crucially, electrification has allowed an all-wheel drive system (a first for a Tata in several years) on the Harrier, with one motor on each axle. Detailed specifications aren’t available just yet, but Tata says it will have 500Nm of peak torque and over 500km of real-world range under Tata Motors’ own range test cycle

Tata Harrier EV launch details and rivals

Prices for the Tata Harrier EV are expected to be announced by May-June 2025. Upon launch, the Harrier EV will compete with the new Mahindra BE 6, Hyundai Creta Electric and the upcoming Maruti e Vitara. The Harrier EV could be priced in the range of Rs 25 lakh-30 lakh (ex-showroom).
