The Curvv will be more affordable, but the Alcazar is more spacious and three-rows of seating.
We are a family of six, but generally, only five of us travel together. We already have a Celerio CNG and are looking for a second car that is under Rs 20 lakh. Should I go for the Tata Curvv diesel with comfortable seating for five and good boot space or a 7-seat base variant of the Hyundai Alcazar?

Autocar India says: Between the diesel versions of the Curvv and Alcazar, the Alcazar is the better option. However, the top variants will be beyond your budget of Rs 20 lakh. The Curvv diesel is good to drive and has a comfortable ride, but its rear seats are nowhere near as spacious or comfortable as the Alcazar’s. In fact, the Curvv’s sloping roofline eats into headroom, whereas the Alcazar, with its high roof and 3-row design, makes for a much better option to seat five. Also, the third row of the Alcazar allows you to travel with six passengers, and the quality and reliability of the Alcazar are better than the Curvv’s. So, apart from its price, the Alcazar is a much better choice for your requirements.
