In an exciting development, the Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI) has joined hands with Turkiye Tourism to launch an expansive six-city roadshow across India, set to kick off on January 30, 2024. The initiative aims to strengthen the ties between the Indian travel trade and Turkish tourism, fostering collaboration and opening new horizons.
The roadshow is scheduled to take place in six different cities across India starting on January 30, 2024, in New Delhi. The event will then move to Kolkata on January 31, 2024, followed by Chennai on February 1, 2024, and Hyderabad on February 2, 2024. Next, the roadshow will head to Bengaluru on February 5, 2024, and conclude in Ahmedabad on February 6, 2024.
Over 30 tourism industry suppliers from Turkey, including tour operators, hoteliers, and MCs, will participate in B2B sessions with the Indian travel trade during the course of roadshows. “The collaboration is set to bring a wealth of opportunities for both Indian travel agents and their Turkish counterparts,” said TAAI in its statement sharing the information.
RAKTDA’s efforts to promote Ras Al Khaimah globally resulted in an 8% increase in total annual visitors, reaching the milestone of 1.22 million, with a significant 24% boost in international visitors. The Emirate also witnessed a notable rise in hotel occupancy, reaching an impressive 74%, reflecting a year-on-year growth of 12 percentage points.
The roadshows are strategically designed to unveil the latest travel trends, offering agent members an exclusive platform to network and build crucial connections within the travel industry. “This collaborative effort seeks to enhance the overall experience for travel professionals and elevate the industry as a whole.”The association further said that TAAI and Türkiye Tourism are committed to creating a dynamic platform that not only showcases the beauty of Turkish tourism but also fosters a collaborative spirit within the travel community. “This ambitious roadshow is poised to be a game-changer, creating lasting partnerships and promoting the cultural richness of Turkey to the diverse Indian market,” it added.
