Nagpur: MPCC president and MLA Nana Patole said it is unfortunate that 92 members of parliament were suspended, saying this shows that the BJP is trying to suppress democracy in the country. Patole asked, “What was their fault? They simply wanted to know who is responsible for the security lapse in the Parliament incident.”
Patole also accused the Maharashtra government of acting on behalf of the Gujarat lobby.He said now that the diamond trade has shifted to Surat on the orders of Narendra Modi, lakhs of people would lose their jobs in Maharashtra.
Patole also criticized the decision of allotting Dharavi land and TDR to Adani, and alleged that the BJP government is hell bent on selling Mumbai and Maharashtra. Patole said the state government is running away from the real issues of farmers, unemployment, and price rise.
The opposition staged a protest on the farmers issue and also raised Vidarbha and Marathwada region issues being neglected by the state government, on the stairs of Vidhan Bhavan premises during the winter session of Maharashtra state assembly on Tuesday.
