The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has issued a notice regarding the submission of the Option-cum-Preference form for the SSC Junior Engineer (JE) 2024 Exam. Candidates who have appeared for Paper II can now submit their preferences for posts and organisations starting today, December 9, 2024, at 5 pm. The window for submitting the Option-cum-Preference form will remain open until Friday, December 13, 2024, at 11:59 pm. Candidates are advised to visit the official SSC website at ssc.gov.in to complete the submission.

“All candidates, who have appeared in Paper-II, are advised to submit their Option-cum-Preference for Post(s)/Organization(s) for Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical and Electrical Examination, 2024 through their respective ‘CANDIDATE LOGIN’ on the website of SSC (Headquarters) i.e. https://ssc.gov.in wherein facility for submission of Option-cum-Preference for Post(s)/Organization(s) will be available under My Application Tab, which will remain active during the period from 09.12.2024 (05:00 PM) to 13.12.2024 (11:59 PM),” the official notice read.
Candidates who do not exercise their Option-cum-Preference during the aforementioned period will not be given another opportunity to do so, and they will be excluded from the final merit list/final selection. After submitting the Option-cum-Preference form, a confirmation email will be sent to the candidate’s registered email address. To avoid any discrepancies, candidates should carefully read the instructions and submit their preferences within the timeframe.
SSC JE Exam 2024: Steps To Fill Out Option-cum-Preference Form
Step 1: Go to the official website of SSC at ssc.gov.in.
Step 2: On the homepage, look for and click on the login link and then enter the credentials asked.
Step 3: As a new page opens, click on the ‘submit’ option. Your preference form will appear on the screen.
Step 4: Fill out the form as directed.
Step 5: Cross-check all the details before submitting it.
The SSC has further stated that “…a confirmation email will also be sent to candidate’s registered email after completion of process of submission of Option-cumPreference. It is made clear that physical submission of Option-cum-Preference for Post(s)/Organization(s) from a candidate will not be accepted in any case.”
Posts shall be assigned according to the provisions of the Notice of Examination on the basis of ‘merit-cum-preference of posts’.
