Salman Khan released the grand trailer of his much-awaited film, Sikandar in a multiplex in Mumbai. He was joined by actors Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, Sharman Joshi, Sathyaraj and Anjini Dhawan, producer Sajid Nadiadwala and director A R Murugadoss.

The host began by asking Salman Khan about the presence of his father, Salim Khan, and how it’s a rare instance. Salman agreed, “Yeah, he never comes na? This is the first time. He wanted to be here. He loved the film and he wanted to see (the reaction). Aap sab se milna tha aur dekhna tha ki aap mujhe kaise treat karte ho (laughs).”

Salman then spoke about the love from his fans, “Be it Eid, Diwali, New Year or festive or non-festive, it’s all the love of the people. Picture acchi ho ya buri ho, woh 100 crore toh paar kara hi dete hai!”

When the host reminded that his films usually do a minimum business of Rs. 200 crores, he replied, “Yes, 200 crore. Sau toh bahut pehle ki baat hai!”

The host hinted at the tough times that Salman Khan faced during the shoot. Salman remarked, “When the going gets tough, the tough get going!” As expected, there was applause for this statement.

Sajid Nadiadwala, who looked quite dashing, revealed, “Salman and I made Kick (2014) together. It had a dialogue, which I had written, ‘Yeh dil mein aate hai, samaj mein nahin’. While making this film, yeh dil mein bhi aaye aur samaj mein bhi! Ribs breaking ke baad shooting pe bhi aaye. Aur aaj present condition mein trailer launch karne bhi aaye!”

Sikandar releases in cinemas on March 30.
