Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan has leased two lavish duplex apartments in Mumbai’s upscale Pali Hill locality, paying an annual rent of Rs 2.90 crore. The properties, located in the Puja Casa building, have been rented from actor-producer Jackky Bhagnani and his sister, Deepshika. The apartments are near SRK’s iconic sea-facing bungalow, Mannat, but the reason behind this additional rental is yet to be disclosed.

According to reports, SRK will be paying a combined monthly rent of Rs 24.15 lakh for both duplexes. The lease spans three years (36 months), securing the property for the long term. While one of the apartments has been leased directly from Jackky Bhagnani, the other is co-leased by both Jackky and his sister Deepshika. Pali Hill, home to several Bollywood A-listers, is considered one of Mumbai’s most sought-after residential areas.
Why Has SRK Taken These Apartments?
The reason behind Shah Rukh Khan renting additional living space despite owning Mannat remains unknown. Speculation suggests that the apartments could be for personal use, extended family, or professional purposes. Given SRK’s stature in the industry, acquiring premium real estate near his residence could also be a strategic investment or expansion plan.

After a record-breaking 2023 with three consecutive box-office hits, SRK has been keeping a low profile in 2024. However, the superstar is now gearing up for his next film, King, which was initially set to be directed by Sujoy Ghosh but will now be helmed by Pathaan director Siddharth Anand. The film reportedly stars Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, and Abhay Verma in key roles, with a multi-villain narrative. King is expected to release in 2026, marking SRK’s highly anticipated return to the big screen.
