Sebastian Vettel And Mick Schumacher Set To Lead Germany At 2025 Race Of Champions

Sebastian Vettel and Mick Schumacher have confirmed their participation in the 2025 Race Of Champions (ROC) in Australia. The event will be at Sydney’s Accor Stadium from March 7-8. Vettel and Schumacher will team up as Germany’s ‘super team’ for the ROC Nations Cup. This competition features pairs from different countries competing against each other. Afterwards, drivers will race individually for the ‘Champion of Champions’ title.

Vettel previously won the individual ROC in 2015. He also won the Nations Cup six times alongside Mick’s father, Michael Schumacher. Mick, too, had strong performances, finishing as runner-up in the individual ROC in Sweden in 2023. They came second with Vettel in the Nations Cup in Mexico in 2019. Both drivers aim to win the overall titles in 2025.

“I’m delighted to be coming back to ROC and teaming up with Mick again,” said Vettel, a four-time F1 World Champion. He added that the Sydney venue looks perfect for the event. “I’ll do my best to help Germany win the Nations Cup, but when it comes to the individual race, I won’t be doing Mick any favours!” Vettel joked, recalling how Schumacher beat him in the 2023 semi-finals.

Apart from his four F1 World Champion titles, Vettel is also the youngest-ever World Drivers’ Champion. Throughout his career, he achieved 53 race victories, placing him fourth on the all-time list.

Schumacher was also excited with his participation. He mentioned, “Australia is one of my favourite places, and racing with Sebastian will be fun.” He added after finishing second in previous ROC events, the goal this time is to win both the Nations Cup and the individual title.

The ROC organisers also mentioned that more famous drivers are expected to join the event. Past participants have included stars from F1, Le Mans, IndyCar, NASCAR, World Rally, and other racing categories. The 2025 ROC takes place just a week before the Australian Grand Prix at Melbourne’s Albert Park, set for March 14-16.
