Nagpur: Women from the Tibetan community tied rakhis to RSS Sarsanghachalak Mohan Bhagwat on Monday.
The women were accompanied by members of the Regional Tibetans Association during their visit to the RSS headquarters.
“They are keeping up the tradition of meeting the RSS chief every Rakhi for at least 10 years,” said Tibetan Settlement Officer Lodoe Sangpo.In Vidarbha, displaced Tibetans have been settled at Gothangaon in Gondia district after they fled from the Chinese regime.
Apart from Tibetans, the RSS headquarters was also visited by chairman of the National Commission for Safai Workers, M Venkatesh, and the chairperson of Women’s PPS Association, Shashank Singh.
Bhagwat also attended an event of Nagpur Mahanagar unit at Pardi, attended by Sanghachalak of Mohite Bhag (Mohite wing), Ramesh Pasari, and Prant Boudhik Pramukh (regional head of intellectual development) Ulhas Itankar. tnn
