Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani Box Office: Film emerges as Alia Bhatt’s 3rd highest weekend grosser :Bollywood Box Office


Alia Bhatt was launched along with Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra in the college drama Student Of The Year in 2012. Following this, the actress quickly made a name for herself in her next few films. She not only consistently gave fine performances but also delivered box office hits. In fact, even when the Bollywood industry was struggling last year, she tasted major success with Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva and Gangubai Kathiawadi. Even RRR, the film where she played a cameo, became a historic hit.

And now, with the release of Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, it is safe to say that this is yet another success for Alia at the ticket window. The movie, which sees her cast opposite Ranveer Singh, has amassed Rs 45.90 crores in the first weekend.

This is the third highest weekend ever for a film starring Alia in her little over a decade long career. The list of her highest weekend earners is headed by Brahmastra, which scored a brilliant Rs. 120.75 crores. The is followed by Kalank, which had made Rs. 62.75 crores in its first three days. The fourth and fifth positions are acquired by Badrinath Ki Dulhania and Gangubai Kathiawadi with Rs. 43.05 crores and Rs. 39.12 crores respectively.
