Actor Ranbir Kapoor has finally revealed the first glimpse of his much-anticipated fashion and lifestyle brand, ARKS. The brand is set to launch on February 14, 2025, and marks Kapoor’s foray into the fashion industry. In a recently released video, the actor is seen cycling through Mumbai, expressing his deep connection with the city. His wife, Alia Bhatt, also shared her excitement for the launch, supporting Kapoor’s long-standing dream of building a brand.

The promotional video highlights Kapoor cycling past Mumbai’s iconic landmarks, including Marine Drive, the Bandra-Worli Sea Link, and a mural of his late father, Rishi Kapoor, at Bandstand. Narrating the video, the Animal actor shares, “I have travelled to many cities across the world, but nothing quite has the same energy for me as Mumbai. The kind that inspires you to try, fail, and get back up again.” He adds that the city has shaped his personality and remains a crucial part of his identity.
A Decade-Long Dream Realized
Kapoor’s passion for launching a brand has been evident for years. In July 2023, during an episode of People by WTF with host Nikhil Kamath, he expressed his desire to create a fashion label that goes beyond being just another celebrity-backed brand. He admitted, “I’ve been a sneakerhead since I was a kid. I am very passionate about it. But I am very scared because I don’t know India as well. I don’t know the market.”
ARKS: More Than Just Sneakers
While sneakers remain a key focus, ARKS is set to redefine wardrobe-essentials. Kapoor envisions his brand offering high-quality basics, including white T-shirts, jeans, and shirts, alongside footwear. He critiques the current state of streetwear fashion, stating, “Streetwear is a bit bastardized now. I would like to call it like what a white T-shirt should be like, what jeans should be like, what a white shirt should be like, and of course, sneakers because I love sneakers.”
On the work front, Kapoor is gearing up for Love and War, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The film, co-starring Vicky Kaushal and Alia Bhatt, marks Kapoor’s reunion with Bhansali after Saawariya (2007). He also has Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayan.
