Sony LIV has launched the much-anticipated trailer for their upcoming show, The Waking of a Nation, a powerful historical drama inspired by true events. Created and directed by National Award-winning and International Emmy-nominated filmmaker Ram Madhvani, the show is set to premiere on 7th March exclusively on Sony LIV.

Based on the background of one of the most pivotal moments in India’s struggle for independence, the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre, the series delves into the tensions and catalysts behind this dark chapter in history. The Waking of a Nation follows Kantilal Sahni (played by Taaruk Raina), as he unearths a deep conspiracy rooted in colonialism and white supremacy. The show reimagines history through the lens of the Hunter Commission’s inquiry.
