Rabanne partners with Shoppers Stop for exclusive India launch


Global fragrance brand Rabanne has joined forces with Indian department store chain Shoppers Stop to launch its ‘Rabanne 1 Million Golden Oud’ perfume in the country. The scent will retail exclusively in Shoppers Shop’s brick-and-mortar stores and on its multi-brand e-commerce platform.

“We are thrilled about the Rabanne 1 Million Golden Oud launching on Shoppers Stop and are delighted to be the exclusive partner for this global fragrance in India,” said Shoppers Stop’s CEO Biju Kassim, India Retailing reported. “We definitely look forward to expanding our portfolio this year with more global luxury fragrances, aiming to meet the rapidly growing demand in India’s luxury market.”

Rabanne first launched 1 Million Golden Oud at the beginning of 2024 and has been focusing on the Middle East market for its retail and distribution. The fragrance comes in the brand’s ‘1 Million’ series, which it first launched in 2008. By launching the scent exclusively in its online and offline stores, Shoppers Stop aims to connect with fragrance enthusiasts and highlight its selection of international brands.

Francisco Rabaneda launched perfume brand Rabanne in 1969 and the label’s perfume segment now goes by ‘Rabanne’, according to its Facebook page. The brand launched its very first perfume in 1969 which was a women’s scent named ‘Calandre’.
