In spring, Pucci will travel to Portofino, the chicest destination on the Italian Riviera in the region of Liguria, to unveil its latest collection. Camille Miceli, who took charge of design at Pucci in September 2021, will continue her Italian tour with a runway show scheduled on April 4, in one of the iconic resorts favoured by the international jet-set in the 1960s and 1970s.

“Bright, breezy and exuding Mediterranean Dolce Vita,” Portofino is perfectly aligned with the spirit and history of Pucci, the label said in a press release.

The show’s theme will be “Marmo” (Italian for ‘marble’), the wave-like motif that is one of the hallmarks of the label, renowned for its psychedelic style. Marmo is inspired by marble’s colourful veins, and was created in 1968 by founder Emilio Pucci. It is the first of Emilio Pucci’s famous prints to be brought to the fore by Miceli.

No details were disclosed about the show’s venue. The spring show is in line with the strategy deployed by Pucci of staging itinerant presentations of its collections, whose items are then immediately available for sale, in ‘see now, buy now’ fashion. After a first “experiential” presentation in Capri, Miceli travelled to the Swiss ski resort of St. Moritz to showcase her second collection.

Miceli’s first runway show was then held in May 2023 on the banks of the river Arno in Florence, stronghold of the label owned by LVMH, and was followed in 2024 by a show in Rome. “Taking the Marmo show to Portofino, Pucci embraces its glamorous yet laid-back seaside spirit, with the brand’s heritage basking in the springtime sun,” said Pucci.
