The Pride Hotels Group is set to extend its presence in prominent religious destinations across India, tapping into the rising trend of faith-based travel. This strategic move aims to accommodate the surge in both domestic and international travelers undertaking spiritual journeys, with the sector experiencing a significant 40 per cent growth, constituting more than half of the country’s tourism activities.
This expansion into religious tourism is evident through the addition of new properties in major pilgrimage sites, such as the Pride Resort Ambaji and Pride Comfort Dwarka in Gujarat. The group’s selection of cities like Rishikesh, Rudraprayag, Haldwani, Puri, Ranakpur, and others for its presence aligns with its goal of providing exceptional hospitality experiences tailored to the spiritual needs of contemporary pilgrims.
Atul Upadhyay, Executive Vice President, Pride Hotels Group, underscores the organization’s commitment to enhancing travellers’ experiences by addressing the evolving preferences for spiritual and religious tourism. “Our foray into faith-based tourism reflects our dedication to excellence and our responsiveness to the changing preferences of today’s pilgrims,” he said.
As a prominent player in India’s hospitality sector, the Pride Hotels Group currently operates in 28 destinations nationwide. With an ambitious expansion plan, the group has 40 new hotels in the pipeline, contributing to its substantial inventory of 3500 rooms. Its offerings encompass four distinct brands: Pride Plaza for luxury accommodations, Pride Hotels for upscale services, Pride Resorts for leisure-oriented experiences, and Biznotel by Pride.
Strategically positioned within India’s religious tourism circuit, the Pride Hotels Group is poised to cater to the growing segment of travellers seeking spiritual enrichment, solidifying its position as a key player in the hospitality industry specializing in faith-based tourism.
