Tottenham Hotspurs jumped to 12th in the league table while pushing Manchester United to 15th in the English top-flight following the 1-0 win over Ruben Amorim’s United at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday in the Premier League.

United seemed to show intent early on in the game as Rasmus Hojlund’s snap-shot to test returning Spurs goalie Guglielmo Vicario was hit straight at the custodian, who had no trouble in keeping it out.
Spurs responded to the attack with a swift move forward of their own which culminated in the hosts seizing the advantage.
Pedro Porro’s cross into the far corner had Heung Min Son on the end of it, but the Korean’s shot was blocked by Harry Maguire before falling to Lucas Bergvall, who had his shot blocked by United shot-stopper Andre Onana. However, the ball fell kindly to Englishman Maddison, who had the simple task of slotting it into the net to send the Spurs fans into delirium.

United had the chance to level the game shortly after, but Alejandro Garnacho skied one from close range as an incredible chance went begging.
United tried to make moves into the opposition half in hopes of pegging the hosts back, but the Spurs defence stood tall against everything thrown at them.
Tottenham extended their points tally for the season to 30 in the ongoing campaign in 25 outings so far, while United, who have 29 points slipped further close to the Premier League drop zone.
