PM Narendra Modi Inaugurates IIM Jammu


IIM Jammu: PM Narendra Modi Inaugurates Rs 500 Crore, 200-Acre Campus in Jammu on February 20, 2024

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Indian Institute of Management’s state-of-the-art campus in Jagti, India, spread across 200 acres. The event was attended by Dr Jitendra Singh, Minister of State, Ministry of Science and Technology, Department of Space and Atomic Energy, Manoj Sinha, Lt Governor of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, Jugal Kishore Sharma, Member of Parliament and Ghulam Ali Khatana, Member of Rajya Sabha.

Dr Milind K Kamble, Chairman of the Board of Governors, emphasised the collaborative efforts with Dharmendra Pradhan, Minister of Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, to make IIMJammu into the top ten B-schools in the country.

B S Sahay, Director, IIMJammu, expressed gratitude to key stakeholders and acknowledged the contributions of the Forest Department of Jammu and Kashmir and the Department of Higher Education, Government of Jammu and Kashmir.

On this occasion, team members of IIMJammu, Central and Public Works Department (CPWD) and the Agency were facilitated.  The vote of thanks was proposed by Jabir Ali, Dean Academics, IIMJammu.

Following the inauguration, a cultural programme was presented by the Jammu & Kashmir Academy of Arts & Culture (JKAACL). Grounded in the principles of innovation, inclusivity and progress, IIMJammu is poised to significantly contribute to India’s educational landscape and societal development.
