Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis lauds PM Narendra Modi’s value-based politics and clean image over 23 years in public office. He also addressed BJP leader Harshvardhan Patil’s decision to join NCP (SP).

NEW DELHI: Maharashtra deputy chief minister Devendra Fadnavis praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday for exemplifying value-based politics.
Speaking to media in Nagpur, Fadnavis remarked on Modi’s 23 years in public office, stating, “Modiji gave us an example of value-based politics. I feel all political leaders, irrespective of any party, should learn from Prime Minister Narendra Modi on how all these years, as chief minister and prime minister, the way he worked with a clean image.”
In other news, there were questions about BJP leader Harshvardhan Patil‘s potential move to the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP).Fadnavis labeled it as old news. Patil had announced his intention to join NCP (SP) on Friday, following a meeting with NCP chief Sharad Pawar in Mumbai.
The state assembly elections are anticipated next month. Patil, a four-time MLA from Indapur, hopes to run for the seat again. The seat is currently held by BJP’s alliance partner NCP, which is expected to field sitting MLA Dattatray Bharne.
Regarding the gathering of BJP workers at party offices ahead of the state polls, Fadnavis noted, “Whenever the elections are near, the number of those seeking tickets increases. We listen to what they want to say.”
