New Honda Amaze launch details, Kia Syros global debut, Toyota Camry price reveal

The year 2024 is just about to end, but there is no stopping to new car launches and unveils. This month, in a respite from SUVs, there are two new sedans launching in the form of the all-new Honda Amaze and the next-gen Toyota Camry. Kia is also set to globally unveil the Syros SUV, followed by a launch later in January. Let’s take a closer look at what to expect from each.

Skoda Kylaq full price list out

But before that, Skoda just announced the full price list of the Kylaq yesterday. It is Skoda’s smallest SUV and its most competitive product yet, thanks to its positioning in the compact SUV segment. Prices for the Kylaq start at Rs 7.89 lakh and go up to Rs 14.40 lakh (ex-showroom, India). And while these prices are introductory, the brand has said there wouldn’t be any major price revisions in the near future.

New Honda Amaze: December 4

The new Amaze will go on sale tomorrow as Honda’s all-new rival to the recently launched new Maruti Dzire. Interior and exterior images of the new Honda Amaze have been leaked already, and it looks much like a shrunken City on the outside, while the interior borrows heavily from the Elevate SUV. The new Amaze sees a notable step up in quality and features over its predecessor, but it will carry over the same 1.2-litre petrol engine with manual and automatic gearbox options.

New Toyota Camry: December 11

The latest Camry continues to be underpinned by the modular TNGA-K platform of the outgoing Camry. Visually, the new car is clearly an evolution of its predecessor, and appears a lot Lexus-like. It is marginally longer, but the wheelbase has remained unchanged. The interior sees a major revamp with a completely new dashboard layout, replete with two digital screens and a lot more features. Under the hood, it carries over the fsmiliar 2.5-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine, paired with two electric motors with a combined output of 227hp.

Kia Syros: December 19

The Syros will be the second compact SUV from Kia and will be positioned above the Sonet. As reported by us earlier, it will come with a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel engine option at launch. An electric version is expected to join the line-up later. The Syros will have a boxy and tallboy design with greater focus on rear sear comfort. This is in a bid to set it apart from the Sonet and address one of its biggest drawbacks, which is cabin space. The styling, meanwhile, will be inspired by the flagship EV9. Price announcement for the Syros will take place sometime in January.
