January saw a lot of buzz around automobiles due to the Auto Expo 2025. As we enter the second month of the year, several carmakers are gearing up for new launches and price announcements. Interestingly, all three of these are combustion-engined cars. Without further ado, let’s find out about the two SUVs and a sports car launching in February.
Kia Syros
Since December 2024, we have covered everything from the reveal to the review of the Kia Syros compact SUV. The only thing that’s left is its price list. Because it sits above the Sonet, we expect the Syros HTK base model to have an around Rs 10 lakh price; no HTE and HTE (O) on offer. Similarly, the Syros HTX+ (O) top model could have a Rs 15 lakh to Rs 16 lakh price range. Pre-bookings for the new SUV are open for Rs 25,000.
With the Syros SUV, Kia has focused on overall space in the cabin, especially at the back. Additional features here over the Sonet are bigger 12.3-inch touchscreen unit and driver’s display, a panoramic sunroof and adjustable and ventilated rear seats.
It will be offered with two engines, a 1-litre turbo petrol- 120hp, 172Nm and a 1.5-litre diesel- 116hp, 250Nm. Syros petrol mileage goes from 18.2kpl (MT) to 17.6kpl (AT), and Syros diesel mileage ranges from 20.7kpl to 17.6kpl.
Audi RS Q8 Performance
Similar to the Kia Syros, our RS Q8 Performance review has all the details from its exterior, features and engine specifications to performance. This is the top model in the Audi RS Q8 lineup and holds the title of being the fastest SUV yet around the Nurburgring. The exterior looks bolder than the Audi Q8 facelift, with LED Matrix headlights and OLED tail lights. In the UK, 22-inch alloy wheels are offered as standard while 23-inch alloys are an optional upgrade. Only time will tell how the India-spec RS Q8 shapes up.
Under the hood of the RS Q8 Performance is a 4-litre twin-turbo V8 engine pumping out 640hp and 850Nm of torque. This engine lets the RS Q8 Performance go from 0-100kph in 3.6 seconds and reach a top speed of over 305kph. The integration of a 48V mild-hybrid system further boosts acceleration. Online bookings are already open for Rs 5 lakh. Expect the RS Q8 to cost north of Rs 1.6 lakh in India.
Aston Martin Vanquish
Making a return after six years, the Aston Martin Vanquish is powered by an upgraded 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12 engine, which produces 835hp and a massive 1,000Nm of torque. Compared to the Aston Martin Vantage, the Vanquish packs an extra 170hp and 200Nm of torque. Even the 0-100kph time of 3.2 seconds taken by Vanquish is quicker by 0.3 seconds, reaching a top speed of 345kph.
The headlights and grille design of the Vanquish are inspired by the DB12. Its bonnet features two large air vents, while the rear gets quad exhausts and vertically stacked LED tail lights that form a staircase pattern. Inside, there’s a new centre console with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It also has a similar-sized digital driver’s display, a 1,170-watt 15-speaker Bowers & Wilkins audio system, a wireless phone charger, a panoramic sunroof and an ADAS suite. Aston Martin may price the Vanquish upwards of Rs 6 crore, ex-showroom, without options.
