NEET UG 2025: NTA has urged the candidates to update Aadhaar for smoother registration and enhanced security.
NEET UG 2025: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced significant updates to streamline the registration and examination process of the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) 2025. In a bid to enhance transparency, efficiency, and security, the NTA will integrate the Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry (APAAR) ID with the NEET UG 2025.
In the official notice, the NTA urged the candidates to use their APAAR ID as well as Aadhaar-based authentication during the application and examination process. The NTA has asked the candidates to update their Aadhaar credentials according to the information mentioned on their 10th-grade mark sheet or passing certificate.
“Updated credentials are highly recommended for ease of verification, registration process and to enhance the integrity of the examination process. NEET (UG)-2025 registration process shall be starting in due course of time. Candidates are advised to update their credentials in Aadhar, preferably as per their 10 Marksheet/Passing Certificate. Also, ensure your Aadhaar is linked with a valid mobile number for OTP-based authentication,” stated the official notice.

NEET UG 2025: NTA Guidelines For Aadhaar
The NTA has advised the candidates to update the following credentials on their Aadhaar
Update Aadhaar Details: Ensure that your Aadhaar information, particularly your name and date of birth (matching your 10th mark sheet), is accurate. This can be done at any nearby Aadhaar Enrollment or Update Center.
Link Aadhaar with a Valid Mobile Number: For OTP-based authentication during registration and examination.
Leverage Facial Recognition: The newly introduced Aadhaar-based Face Authentication Method enables faster and more secure identity verification, allowing for smoother entry into exam halls.
The NTA will commence the application process for the NEET UG 2025 examination soon and the details for the same will be released on the official website – neet.nta.nic.in.
