PV Sindhu admitted that she got slightly emotional when seeing the viral video showcasing Vinod Kambli’s declining health.
India’s star shuttler, PV Sindhu, reflected on the viral video, which highlighted the former India cricketer’s declining health amidst financial woes. The badminton star cautioned her fans to look out for themselves in the future by taking the necessary steps financially in the present.
In an interview with NDTV, she emphasised the need to have smart and practical investments made for the future, rather than just spending money as it comes, in order to build for a better tomorrow.
“I think it is important that you manage very smartly. It is not that you don’t know how to invest, you have to accordingly invest in such a way that it is useful for you in the future as well. I would just say to the people out there, you have to invest and not just spend lavishly,” Sindhu commented.
Sindhu was also asked regarding her thoughts on Kambli’s viral video. She did admit that it got her slightly emotional but also admitted that these kinds of problems can happen to anybody.
Kambli’s declining health amidst financial concerns became a trending topic across social media, and several former cricketers were vocal about how Kambli needs to get himself taken care of, many notable faces even offered support to the former Mumbai star.
A video of Kambli had gone viral when he was present at a memorial for his late coach Ramakant Achrekar, where his condition was a major concern. He has since been admitted to the hospital and also discharged after treatment, but questions regarding his health remain.
Now the former India cricketer is on a pension by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), and it remains to be seen if the other cricketers would come together to support their comrade.
Sindhu, on the other hand, is all set to make her first appearance in 2025. After her marriage, she is now set to come back on the court, where she opens her campaign at the Indian Open, where she takes on Shuo Yun Sung. She will hope to make her mark after missing out on the previous edition due to injury.
