“Barasat is a community that holds lots of potential, and we are looking forward to being part of that journey,” said Muthoot Exim’s CEO Keyur Shah in a press release. “Our Gold Point Centre is essentially there to offer trusted space to unlock value from gold assets of residents. By making this process open and accessible, we’re hoping to empower people and contribute positively to the economic growth of the region.”

Muthoot Exim held an inauguration ceremony for the centre on October 21, attended by key brand figures. Following the launch, Barasat’s residents can avail the centre to monetise their gold assets.

“It’s not just opening our doors for business in Barasat but is also the kind of relationship building with the local community,” said Muthoot Exim’s managing director and Muthoot Pappachan Group’s executive director Thomas Muthoot. “Being on this journey, we want partner towards a better financial life, responsible recycling of gold within families and investing it back, so their future becomes achievable by building stronger and more sustainable local economies.”
