RS Mundle English School remembered the courage and determination of the Indian armed forces while celebrating Kargil Vijay Diwas with great enthusiasm in the school. Chief guest of the programme was retired Group Captain Vijay Hardas.
He had actively participated in various operations including Kargil Operation while commanding a strategically important unit in Jammu & Kashmir. He explained the importance of Kargil Vijay Diwas which commemorates the success of Operation Vijay that was launched to take back the Indian territory captured by Pakistani Army in the Drass sector in 1999, where more than 500 soldiers sacrificed their lives.
He encouraged the students to join the armed forces. Headmaster Padmakar Charmode and supervisor Sushmita Nikam were present on the occasion.
