Maruti Suzuki announced today that it has produced ten million cars and SUVs at its Manesar plant. This facility, which began operations in October 2006, has reached this milestone in just 18 years.

Talking about the achievement, Hisashi Takeuchi, managing director and CEO of Maruti Suzuki India Ltd, said, “Crossing the 1 crore cumulative production mark at our Manesar facility is a testament to India’s manufacturing capability and our commitment to the larger national goal of ‘Make in India’.”
The 600-acre facility at Manesar produces the popular Brezza, Ertiga, XL6, Ciaz, Dzire, Wagon R, S-Presso, and Celerio for domestic and international markets such as Latin America, the Middle east, and Africa along with some Asian countries.
As of April 2024, Maruti Suzuki’s overall production capability stands at approximately 23.5 lakh units per annum. Since its inception, the company has produced over 31.1 million vehicles.
Upcoming Maruti models: 2024 and beyond
