Sales of the Mahindra XUV 3XO are definitely higher than its predecessor, the XUV300. In its best fiscal, which was FY2023, the pre-facelift compact SUV had average monthly sales of just over 5,000 units, while in the last six months, the XUV 3XO has averaged over 8,400 units a month. Incidentally, this also means waiting periods for Mahindra’s answer to the Tata Nexon and Hyundai Venue have increased significantly. Delivery times depend on the variant selected so without further ado, here’s how long you’ll have to wait for your new Mahindra XUV 3XO, if a booking is made today.

  1. Entry-level XUV 3XO MX1 has the longest waiting period
  2. Mid-spec XUV 3XO AX5 petrol deliveries to take up to 8 months
  3. Nearly all diesel variants have waiting periods of about 1 month

MX3/MX3 Pro6-7 months1 month

AX5 L2-3 monthsNA

AX7 L2 months1 month

Compared to last month, the wait times have increased singnificantly. From the table above, one can see that the entry-level MX1 petrol has the longest delivery times, which is partially due to the fact that Mahindra produces fewer units of this variant. The petrol-powered lower-spec MX2 and MX3 Pro variants have waiting periods of up to 7-8 months and 6-7 months, respectively, while delivery times for the mid-spec AX5 and AX5 L petrol stretch to 8 months and 2-3 months, respectively. Meanwhile, one would have to wait just about 2 months for delivery of their top-spec AX7 and AX7 L petrol variants.

Demand for the diesel variants is lower than the petrol ones, which accounts for the shorter wait times. In fact, for most diesel variants, the waiting period is just 1 month.

The XUV 3XO comes with two turbo-petrol and one diesel engine option – there’s a 111hp, 1.2-litre petrol, a 131hp, 1.2-litre direct injection petrol, and a 117hp, 1.5-litre diesel. The two petrols get a 6-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox option, while the diesel has a 6-speed AMT option. With prices ranging from Rs 7.99 lakh-15.49 lakh, the XUV 3XO is among the best-equipped compact SUVs, boasting features such as dual-zone climate control, Level 2 ADAS tech and a panoramic sunroof.
