The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has released the admission schedule for the upcoming academic session 2024-25, from Classes 1-11. Parents and guardians seeking admission for their wards into Class 1 are advised to check the admission calendar for the registration window, which opens on April 1 at 8 am and closes on April 15 at 5 pm.
For Class 11 aspirants, registration will commence ten days after the declaration of Class 10 board exam results. This year, KVS has introduced a new admission portal to streamline the admission process across its 1,254 Kendriya Vidyalaya schools.
Parents must note that children seeking admission to Class 1 must have completed six years of age as of March 31, 2024, with a cut-off date of April 1, 2018. Offline registrations for classes 2 and above will also begin on April 1 and conclude on April 10.
Registrations for Balvatika levels 1, 2, and 3 will be conducted offline in schools from April 1. Children applying for Balvatika should be between 3 to 6 years old as of March 31, 2024. KVS adheres to reservation quotas, with 15% of seats reserved for SC, 7.5% for ST, and 27% for OBC categories.
Important dates to remember
– Registration for Class 1: April 1 to April 15
– First selected and waitlisted lists for Class 1: April 19
– Subsequent lists for Class 1: April 29 and May 8
– Second notification for Class 1 admissions (if needed): May 7, with registration from May 8 to May 15
– Registrations for Class 2 and above: April 1 to April 10
– Admission processes for Class 2 and above: Ongoing until June 29, except for Class 11.
Essential documents required for admission
Parents must ensure they have the following documents for successful admission:
– Child’s original birth certificate
– SC/ST/OBC certificate (if applicable)
– Residential certificate
– Service certificate of the child’s mother/father
– Two photographs of the child.
In case of vacancies in the second class, offline admission processes will be conducted from April 1 to April 10, with applications submitted to the principal’s office of the respective school.

Step 1. Go to kvsangathan.nic.in or kvsonlineadmission.kvs.gov.in.
Step 2. Fill in the child’s details and choose a school.
Step 3. Fill in the form with accurate information.
Step 4. Scan and upload required documents.
Step 5. Review and submit the application.
Step 6. Save the confirmation slip and take a printout for future reference.
