On Friday this week, Shahid Kapoor marked his comeback in theatres as an action-packed cop in and as Deva. Along with him the film featured an ensemble cast including Pooja Hegde, Pavail Gulati and Kubbra Sait. Now, Kubbra has treated fans to a series of behind-the-scenes aka BTS glimpses from the film along with a major hint about an impending sequel that has definitely left fans excited.
Kubbra Sait drops hint of a sequel to Deva; shares action-packed BTS with Shahid Kapoor
The BTS photos showcase the dynamic duo in high-intensity sequences, giving a sneak peek into the film’s adrenaline-fueled world. Kubbra Sait plays the intense role of a cop and as Dipti Singh she seems to have wowed many with her signature strength and charisma. Sait penned an emotional note along with these pics wherein she said, “The new year kicks off with #Deva… Dipti Singh is now real in some form — and what a ride it’s been! A massive shoutout to the entire crew and support crew of this film, which is as real as real gets.”
Further expressing gratitude, she added, “From the incredible Assistant Directors ?? to the fabulous Fashion Stylists ??, their hardworking assistants ??, our legendary Set Dadas ??, and the rockstar Spot Boys and Girls ? – every single one of three hundred of you pulled off a miracle ?? A BIG SHOUT OUT to my management ?? the first film baby we signed together and pulled through an experience one of a kind.”
Meanwhile, there was something that caught the netizens’ attention apart from the post. It was a response from Kubbra for one of the comments that was shared on it. A user reviewed the film, appreciating it but insisted that he couldn’t understand the climax. The comment read, “Sab acha tha… acha chal raha tha.. ending aisa kyun kiye? samajh nahi aaya (everything was good.. it was all going good… but why was the ending like that? Couldn’t understand), to which Kubbra responded, “part 2 dekh lena (watch part 2).” This prompted many of them to wonder if the film has a sequel in the pipeline but there has been no response or announcement from the makers.
Marking the Hindi directorial debut of Rosshan Andrrews, Deva is a remake of the 2013 Prithviraj Sukumaran starrer Malayalam drama Mumbai Police. It hit cinemas on January 31.
