Higher-spec trims and new Pewter Olive paint shade have the highest waiting period on them.
The Kia Seltos facelift has amassed 31,716 bookings just over a month after the manufacturer started accepting orders on July 14. The Seltos facelift brought with it a raft of cosmetic updates, feature enhancements and an updated powertrain line-up, with prices ranging between Rs 10.89 lakh-20 lakh, ex-showroom. We now have fresh details on its waiting period as well.
- Most of the demand has been for the HTX trim and above
- HTX gets features like panoramic sunroof, full-LED lighting
- Seltos has sold over 5 lakh units since launch in 2019
Kia Seltos bookings split
Kia states that nearly 55 percent of all bookings made so far have been for the higher-spec trims – HTX and upwards – while the exclusive-to-India Pewter Olive paint shade accounts for 19 percent of all bookings.
The fact that higher-spec trims are in great demand is not surprising as the Seltos is loaded from the HTX trim onwards – a panoramic sunroof, 17-inch alloys, larger 10.25-inch touchscreen, full-LED lighting, leatherette upholstery, dual-zone climate control and more are all availble from this trim.
This is despite the fact that the HTX variants are priced well north of Rs 15 lakh (ex-showroom), but as we have seen with several other models, Indians do not mind paying the premium for feel-good features. For a detailed break-up of the variant-wise features list, click here.
Kia Seltos waiting period details
Our dealer sources reveal that the Seltos currently has a maximum waiting period of up to three months for the top-spec GTX+ and X-Line variants. Meanwhile, the mid-spec HTX and HTX+ variants have a two-month waiting period, while the entry-level variants are readily available. There’s no difference in the waiting period depending on the powertrain, but the popular Pewter Olive and Black colours have a three-month waiting period, while White and Silver are readily available.
