After a start of Rs. 7.84 crores, the Akshay Kumar starrer Kesari 2 has collected in the range of Rs. 10 crore to Rs. 10.50 crore, taking two day total above the Rs. 18 crore mark. The film is showing a growth even after coming from a Good Friday Holiday and in real terms, this is a growth of almost 100 percent from Friday.
The metros have gone on fire on Saturday, putting up solid occupancy and even capacity issues in the multiplexes towards late evening and night. The national chains have grossed around Rs. 7.25 crore on Saturday, which is a jump of 33 percent from Friday to Saturday. The all India jump is around 27 percent, which is a great feat and the first sign of film to emerge a success.
Kesari 2 will be aiming at another jump on Sunday and then a strong hold on Monday. There is unanimous appreciation for Kesari 2 and thankfully same is slowly reflecting in the footfalls as well. The smart release strategy is also doing wonders, creating demand in the audience for more shows.
The two day business is decent and now eyes are on film to consolidate on Sunday & Monday.
