IndiGo now has 170 daily flights from Mumbai, ET TravelWorld News, ET TravelWorld

The Indian carrier, IndiGo has announced a significant expansion of its flight operations to and from Mumbai, further strengthening its connectivity and providing greater travel options for passengers. With over 170 daily flights, IndiGo now continues to solidify its presence in the city, the official statement from the airline said.

Starting from July 1, 2023, IndiGo will introduce new flights between Mumbai and Durgapur, as well as resume operations between Mumbai and Kannur. These additions aim to enhance connectivity and meet the increasing demand for travel between these destinations.

Furthermore, IndiGo is bolstering its network by increasing frequencies on several routes to and from Mumbai. Effective June 3, 2023, additional flights will be available on the Dehradun-Mumbai, Leh-Mumbai, Srinagar-Mumbai, Hyderabad-Mumbai, Jammu-Mumbai, Ranchi-Mumbai, Varanasi-Mumbai, Nagpur-Mumbai, and Amritsar-Mumbai routes. According to the airline, these added frequencies not only address the surge in summer travel but also contribute to maintaining affordable fares for passengers.

With this expansion, IndiGo now operates 155 domestic flights and 20 international flights to and from Mumbai, solidifying its position as the preferred carrier for travellers.

The capital of Kenya would be the budget airline’s 27th international and overall 105th destination on its network. The first flight on the route will take off on August 5. This new route marks IndiGo’s entry into the African subcontinent and brings numerous benefits to both business and leisure travellers.

Passengers planning their travel through these destinations can book tickets through IndiGo’s official website, the airline advised. The introduction of these new flights and increased frequencies are expected to further enhance IndiGo’s domestic and international connectivity, catering to the diverse travel needs of passengers.

As per the airline, IndiGo currently has a fleet of over 300 aircraft and is operating well over 1800 daily flights and connecting 78 domestic destinations and will soon further grow its international footprint to 32 international destinations.
