IIM Kashipur concluded its 4-month Management Development Programme (MDP) with V-Guard Industries, enhancing leadership and management skills
The Indian Institute of ManagementKashipur (IIMKashipur) has trained over 25 executives of V-GuardIndustries in the last four months under its ManagementDevelopment Programme (MDP) titled ‘PRERNA’. The development programme, spanning from October 2023 to February 2024, was conducted eyeing to develop marketing, finance, strategy, HR, IT and operational skills among the executives of all four plants of V Guard Industries.
“The training programme will not only enhance leadership capabilities and foster professional growth among the participants but also help the company to grow,” Dr Kulbhushan Balooni, Director, IIMKashipur, said.
Dr Kunal Ganguly, Dean, IIMKashipur, who designed the training programme for the executives emphasised the significance of this collaboration, marking the first-ever initiative of its kind between IIMKashipurandV-GuardIndustries Limited to develop leadership.
Jitendra Rana, Plant head, V-GuardIndustries, said, “V-Guard is revamping Manthan Taal at IIM Kashipur campus, worth Rs 10 lakh, to conserve rainwater and recharge groundwater. The company has also developed two lakes with the district administration, each costing Rs 5 lakh, under a water conservation project.”
The distribution of certificates marked the culmination of a transformative learning experience, where participants not only acquired new insights but also forged lasting connections with their peers and mentors.
