IGNOU Admission 2025: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the deadline for admissions to its online distance learning and online programs until March 31, 2025, excluding certificate and semester-based courses. Interested candidates can now apply for admission through the official website, ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in.
Earlier, the last date for IGNOU admission 2025 was set for March 15, but the extension gives applicants more time to complete the application process. It’s important to note that a DEB ID is mandatory for applying.
“Last date for submission of application (except for certificate and semester-based programmes): 31 March 2025. Please note: DEB ID is mandatory for submission of application. Please create your DEB ID before starting the application process,” reads the official website.
The DEB ID is a unique identification number created by a student wishing to enroll in any online or Open and Distance Learning (ODL) program at IGNOU. Developed by the University Grants Commission (UGC), this ID helps students easily identify and enroll in recognized institutions. Once created, the DEB ID remains valid for all future educational activities and admissions.
Steps To Fill IGNOU Registration Form 2025
Step 1: Visit the official IGNOU admission website: ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in.
Step 2: Click on the ‘IGNOU registration’ link.
Step 3: Enter your personal and academic details to complete the initial registration.
Select a username and create a password.
Step 4: Log in using your credentials and complete the IGNOU registration form.
Step 5: Upload the required documents, including your photograph, signature, caste certificate, and educational certificate.
