The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) concluded its 60th Campus Placement Programme with a landmark achievement, securing a domestic salary package that reached a whopping Rs 26.70 lakhs per annum. This year marked one of the most successful placement seasons for the organization, with the programme seeing an all-time high of 240 companies participating and the largest-ever batch of newly qualified Chartered Accountants (CAs).

Taking on microblogging site ‘X’, ICAI Central Council Member (CCM) Dhiraj Khandelwal wrote, “This year has been a landmark achievement, witnessing the highest-ever participation of 240 companies, the largest batch of newly qualified Chartered Accountants (CAs), and record-breaking salary offers, making it the most remarkable placement season in ICAI’s history.”

Whopping 26.7 Lakh Domestic Package

According to Khandelwal, over 8,000 newly qualified CAs secured placements in some of the most prestigious organizations across industries. The programme achieved an impressive average salary of Rs 12.49 lakhs per annum, with the highest domestic salary package reaching Rs 26.70 lakhs per annum, offered by Power Finance Corporation (PFC).

“This exceptional success underscores the growing demand for Chartered Accountants across industries. While other professional degrees, including those from IITs, have experienced slower placement trends, ICAI’s placement programme has seen a significant surge,” he added.

Meanwhile, ICAI CA Final Result 2024 were declared on December 26. Those who took the exam can view their results at icai.org, the organisation’s official website. Candidates need to provide their registration number and roll number to view their results. Overall, a total of 11,500 candidates have qualified as Chartered Accountants following the declaration of the results.
