Selection procedure
The recruitment process for officers and office assistants in RRBs through CRP RRBs XII involves multiple stages designed to select the most qualified candidates:
Online Preliminary Examination
The first stage is an online preliminary examination that includes an objective test covering Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability, English Language, and General Awareness. Candidates are required to achieve minimum qualifying marks for each section as well as an overall score. Those who successfully clear this stage move on to the next phase.
Online Main Examination
Following the preliminary examination, the shortlisted candidates progress to the online main examination. For Officers (Scale-II & III), the objective tests cover Reasoning Ability, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language, General Awareness, and Banking Knowledge. Meanwhile, the Office Assistants’ main examination includes objective tests on Reasoning Ability, Numerical Ability, English Language, and General Awareness. Similar to the preliminary stage, candidates must meet minimum qualifying marks for each section and attain an overall score. Those who qualify proceed to the final stage.
Interview
The last stage involves a comprehensive interview conducted by a panel of experts. This interview assesses candidates’ personality, communication skills, knowledge of banking and the rural economy, and overall suitability for the respective roles. The final selection is determined by the cumulative performance in both the main examination and the interview.
