IBJA reports positive response to first Silver Jewellery Exhibition


The India Bullion and Jewellers Association recently concluded its trade show ‘Silver Show of India’ on June 11 and reported participation from over 200 exhibitors with a positive response to its first ever edition.

The Silver Show of India began on June 8 and was held at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai. The trade show was inaugurated by Maharashtra Cabinet Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha who highlighted the popularity of silver and referred to it as the, “new gold”.
 
“We are delighted by the overwhelming response to the first-ever largest silver exhibition in Mumbai,” said the IBJA’s national president Prithviraj Kothari, the Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council reported on its website. The IBJA’s event featured over 500 exhibitor stalls and attracted between 25,000 and 30,000 buyers.

“This event has been a celebration of artistry, creativity, and cultural heritage,” said the IBJA’s national vice president Chetan Kumar Mehta. “We are proud to have provided a platform for talented artisans to showcase their exceptional skills and for industry professionals to connect and collaborate.”
 
The event featured both silver jewellery and artefacts and was designed to promote silver jewellery consumption. Notable attendees of the trade show included representatives from jewellery brands including Kalyan Jewellers, Malabar Gold, and Joyalukkas among others.
